How can you help?

An investment in the School of Imagination is an investment in our community.

Today, as our communities continue to grow, so does the demand for a school which helps all children to reach their full potential.

As a not-for-profit school, the School of Imagination reinvests any profit it makes into the school; we are not supported by taxes. Being locally owned, no profits or dividends go to a parent company outside of the area.

Funds raised are vital for the continued delivery of education and care for area families.

The School of Imagination is incorporated as a non-profit, charitable organization with 501(c)(3) status.

Proceeds go to a permanent home for School of Imagination (SOI). SOI is a non-profit education center built on the award-winning methodology of the Happy Talkers Program established in 2000 by Speech Pathologist Charlene Sigman.

Today, the school serves the needs of children with developmental disabilities and delays, as well as typically developing children and has improved the lives of more than 2,500 children with autism, speech delays and developmental disabilities.

The School of Imagination’s mission is to bring out the extraordinary in every child.

INDIVIDUAL GIFTS
Tax-deductible cash donations can be a one-time event or paid over a number of years.

NAMED GIFT OPPORTUNITIES
Businesses, organizations, families and individuals may designate specific items or areas of permanent recognition at the School of Imagination. Gifts/pledges may be used to dedicate a building, room, or equipment in honor of a family member or loved one, or to stand in the name of the donor.

GIFTS OF APPRECIATED SECURITIES
These donations are made at present cash value, but may have cost you far less. Such a gift will allow you to save capital gains tax that you would have had to pay if you sold the securities.

GIFTS OF REAL ESTATE
Real estate may be split into partial interest with you receiving part of the proceeds and School of Imaginationreceiving the other part. This can be structured to offset capital gains due on the cash you receive with a tax deduction for the portion you contribute --- a zero tax option. You can also make a gift of your home, but stay in it and get a tax deduction now for a portion of its fair market value.

VOLUNTEERING
In addition to fundraising, recruiting and retaining quality volunteers is essential to the success of School of Imagination. If you would like to donate your time by volunteering to help with any of our events, or serving on our committees, please contact School of Imagination at (925) 829-9552 ext. 706.
