"Learn the Signs. Act Early" Campaign

Visit the "Learn the Signs. Act Early." website for information about childhood developmental milestones and delays. You'll be able to track the developmental milestones your child should be reaching, see how milestones change as your child grows, and download fact sheets on developmental milestones for children from 3 months to 5 years, along with information on developmental screening and developmental disabilities

Autism now affects 1 in every 150 children.  While research takes aim at potential causes and a cure, we're working with partners to help end the Autism epidemic on the front lines.

Through community outreach programs with educators, childcare providers and parents, developmental delays are detected early, while early intervention can make the difference.

Beyond identifying delays, our campaign provides the tools and support to parents and teachers to bring out the extraordinary in every child.

Together, we can make the difference.

From Newsweek (July 3, 2007):
"The Sooner the Better: A new study finds that autism can be identified at around 14 months, much earlier than previously thought. How early diagnosis can improve outcomes."
